The difference in our plate manufacturing
The quality of a ballistic panel is of the greatest importance when your life is on the line. This is why we go to such great lengths to provide the very best manufacturing standards to protect you and your loved ones.
Our plates are cut from the best quality through-hardened ballistic steel sheets by a 2.2KW Co2 laser. This creates precision cuts with the absolute lowest HAZ possible.
The HAZ (heat affected zone) is an area on the perimiter of a cut that is reduced in strength and hardness due to the heat produced by the cutting process. The smaller the HAZ the smaller the area with compromised strength.
What this means to you is that your ballistic panel from Patriot Armor is effective to within 60/1,000 of an inch of the edge! If quality is what you want when your life depends on it, trust no other brand!
